Bengal Breed Information

Bengals are a domestic cat breed, originally established by crossing a small, non-domestic cat--the Asian Leopard Cat--with domestic cats. The goal of the Breed is to produce a wild-looking cat that looks as if it just stepped out of the jungle or forest into your living room and with the temperament of a domestic cat.

In fact, many people when they see their first Bengal cat ask, "what is that?", sure that it is a wild cat. On the contrary, while the Bengal may look exotic, they are amongst the most outgoing and friendliest of domestic cat breeds. They are highly intelligent and interactive. Bengals are an active member of the household.
